Scholarships at Brunel University London

Brunel University of London and the Mexican Fund for Human Resources Development (FIDERH) have partnered to provide full time students on Postgraduate taught and Postgraduate research courses with a 15% discount on tuition fee's.

The Scholarship is for Mexican students in receipt of a loan or financial support from FIDERH, a trust managed by the Central Bank of Mexico.

The Scholarship cannot be combined with any other University scholarship, bursary, discount, or award. If an applicant is eligible for more than one scholarship or discount, they will be awarded the one which is most financially beneficial across the full course duration.

Brunel University London is proud to offer a discount of 10% off the tuition fees for every year of the course for any new applicant registering onto a course in 2024/5 who has a:

• Direct family connection to a student enrolled at the University (‘Current Student’);

• Direct family connection to a ‘Graduate/Alumni’ of the University;

• Registering at Brunel in the same entry year as their family member;

• Direct family connection to a current member of staff at Brunel University London (‘Current Staff’).

Award details

Value: A discount of 10% off the tuition fees for every year of the course for any applicant applying for a course starting in 2024/25, who has a direct family connection to a ‘Current Student’, a ‘Graduate/Alumni’ of the University or a ‘Current member of staff’ at Brunel or is registering in the same entry year as a sibling.

The discount will only be applied once for each eligible level of study, subject to normal progression criteria having been met. Family is defined as spouse, parent, child or sibling.

 We are offering an unlimited number of awards. The Family Discount will be awarded to all applicants that meet the eligibility criteria. (The discount will only be applied once irrespective of the number of qualifying family members).

Eligibility

The discount will be awarded to those applicants who are:

• Registering on a full time or part time undergraduate or postgraduate programme, including distance learning courses and online learning students who meet all the following criteria.

• Have applied by the deadline stated in Section 1 and provided evidence of a family connection to a ‘Current Student’, ‘Graduate/Alumni’ or ‘Current Staff’ of Brunel University London.

 Those not eligible for this discount:

• Applicants awarded the BMS International Scholarship.

• Applicants who registered with the University in a previous academic year.

• September 2024 : 31 August 2024 at 12am

• January 2025 : 21 December 2024 at 12am

• May 2025 : 3 May 2025 at 12am

The Brunel University of London UG Bursary offers a £3,000 fee reduction for self-funded international students across our undergraduate courses.

To be considered applicants need to hold an offer of a place to study on an undergraduate course starting in September 2025. Awards will be made until the end of August 2025.

Who is eligible?

To be considered, here’s what you will need:

• You must have an offer to study on one of our undergraduate courses (including placement routes and undergraduate integrated Masters programmes but excluding Foundation and Integrated Foundation courses starting in September 2025.

• Pay your £5,000 course deposit by 30 August 2025.

Award details

Value: £3,000 tuition fee reduction applied each year for a maximum of three years and four years for undergraduate integrated MEng programmes. The awards will be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to normal progression criteria having been met (additional payments will not be made during a placement year or a repeating year, regardless of the reason for repetition).

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Pay the £5,000 course deposit by 30 August 2025.

• Must hold an offer of a place on a full time Undergraduate course (including undergraduate integrated Masters programmes but excluding Foundation programmes and Integrated Foundation programmes.

• Applicants coming to Brunel via Brunel Pathway College (BPC).

• Must be classed as an Overseas fee paying student based on the UK government regulations and be self-funded (not sponsored). Applicants who are unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information they have provided in their application form to assess fee status against regulations set by the UK government.

• Must meet all conditions of their offer and hold an Unconditional offer to study on a full-time undergraduate programme (including placement routes and undergraduate programmes with integrated foundation) starting in September 2025 by the time they are due to register.

• Undergraduate applicants entering a course at Level 4 (Year 1) only.

• Applicants applying for the Graduate LLB Law Programme will be considered for the Bursary.

2.2 Those not eligible for this bursary:

• Applicants NOT classed as Overseas for fee purposes, based on the UK government regulations or those with an unresolved fee status.

• Applicants who are not fully self-funded and are being sponsored by a Government or external body.

• Applicants that have been awarded the EU Discount.

• Applicants who will NOT commence their course in September 2025, including deferred entry month and year.

• Applicants entering a course with Brunel Pathway College (BPC), or who are progressing to a Brunel course from a BPC course.

• Applicants entering a Foundation course or Integrated Foundation course.

• Applicants entering Brunel Medical School (BMS) courses, namely the MBBS programme.

• Undergraduate applicants entering a course at Level 5 (Year 2) or Level 6 (Year 3).

All students who are responsible for paying their own course fees in full, and who pay the full amount of fees due at or before their scheduled date of registration, may receive a early payment discount of 2% on the net course fee i.e after the application of any other discounts to which they may be entitled

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Brunel University of London is offering four scholarships to students from Ghana, India and Türkiye applying for eligible postgraduate courses for the 2025/26 academic year.

The scholarship programme offers financial support to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study at Brunel.

Please note that applicants should be passport holders of Ghana, India and Türkiye.

Eligibility

To be considered for a GREAT – Brunel University of London Scholarship you must:

• be a citizen of Ghana, India or Türkiye

• have been classified as Overseas for fee status

• apply for an eligible one-year full-time Master's course for the relevant country.

• have received an offer of admission to study for an eligible one-year full-time Master's.

• be available to commence your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2025

You are not eligible if:

• You hold dual British citizenship

• Your course is an on-line/distance learning course

• The duration of your course is longer than one year

The Brunel Business School (BBS) are offering a number of prestigious scholarships for UK and overseas (including EU) applicants joining the Brunel MBA in September 2025 and January 2026 of the 2025/26 academic year.

Brunel Pathway College (BPC) and Brunel Language Centre (BLC) students can apply for this scholarship after successful completion of their pre-masters’ course. There are only a limited number of scholarships available each year, and the application procedure is quite competitive.

Successful awardees may be expected to undertake specified duties as Brunel Ambassadors for the Brunel Business School (BBS). Activities might involve representing the MBA programme at internal and external marketing and recruitment events, providing guest talks and seminars to undergraduate/postgraduate students, providing reports on each event and writing a Brunel MBA Blog and/or other initiatives as appropriate. In addition, awardees will also be expected to assume mentoring responsibilities as required by BBS

Scholarship application deadline:

The Postgraduate Academic Excellence scholarship is available for students on Postgraduate Taught (PGT) courses at Brunel University London who are self-funding their studies and have obtained a First-Class undergraduate degree;

• from a UK University, either in the UK or at an overseas campus or

• obtained the equivalent of a UK First Class degree from an EU institution

Additionally, graduates of Brunel University London will receive the Graduate Discount of 15% off the final tuition fee amount due (after any the scholarship award has been applied). On the basis that they register on a taught postgraduate programme on a fully self-funding basis.

Value: A discount of 15% off the tuition fees.

How many: We are offering an unlimited number of awards. The Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to all applicants that meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility

The Scholarship will be awarded to all full time, part time, distance learning and online learning students who meet all the following criteria: 

• Have an unconditional offer to study a taught Master’s programme at Brunel University London, this includes the MBA and Mres programmes.

• Have achieved a First Class honours degree from a UK University or an EU University.

  • For a UK degree: the award must be from a UK University, the student does not have to have attended a UK based campus.

  • An honours degree awarded with distinction is acceptable where no first class classification exists.

  • Holding a higher degree, without having achieved a First Class classification at undergraduate level does not qualify for receipt of this award.

  • For an EU equivalent the award must be from a recognised EU institution and be the equivalent of a First-class honours degree, as listed in appendix 1.

• Are attending the University on a self-funding basis and are responsible for paying their own tuition fees in full. Students, who are funding their studies with a SLC Postgraduate Master’s Loan or a scholarship/bursary fee waiver are considered self-funding for the purpose of this Scholarship.  

• Students whose tuition fees are paid by their Employer, Government or a third party, either partially or in full, are not usually eligible for this discount.

The International Bursary offers £2,000 fee reduction for self-funded international students across our postgraduate taught (PGT) courses starting in September 2025.

This bursary was designed to reward students based on their academic profile and payment of the course deposit.

• To achieve a 2:2 or equivalent internationally recognised undergraduate qualification, or a China Dazhuan qualification (75 and 3 years work experience);

• Have an offer to study one of our postgraduate taught courses starting in September 2025;

• Pay your £5,000 course deposit by 30 August 2025.

Award details

Value: £2,000 tuition fee reduction applied each year for a maximum of one year for full time courses and two years for full-time courses running over two years, (for example, if you enrol on to a two-year full time postgraduate taught program, the fee reduction will apply to both years of study).

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Must have a 2:2 or equivalent internationally recognised undergraduate qualification, or a China Dazhuan qualification (75 and 3 years experience).

• Must be classed as an Overseas fee-paying student based on the UK government regulations and be self-funded (not sponsored).
